A quick-set Christmas tree for the Byrds!

Looking for a new Christmas tree? We were. Our last pre-lit tree lasted about 6 years and I loved it! However the last 2 years, I had to string extra lights to cover the areas where the lights had gone out. Yes, I did try to find the one lightbulb that had gone out and replace it. I even had one of those handy dandy light things that is suppose to fix it or find the out light bulb. After hours of searching each year, I eventually gave up and strung the extra lights. I’m not sure if I was more frustrated trying to make sure all the connections where in the right order, finding the “out” light or if Micheal was more frustrated listening to me go through the process. Needless to say, we were both done.

This year around Thanksgiving, we started the search for the perfect pre-lit tree. Micheal had seen one put together that required no connecting of lights within the tree. This was one of the top things on our list to find. It’s called “quick-set”. You literally assemble the tree by connecting the poles and plugging it in at the bottom. We also wanted one that if one bulb went out, the entire section didn’t go out with it.

I think I found it! This tree not only changes between white and colored lights but also, if a light goes out, only about 5-6 bulbs around that light go out, not the entire string! Its a miracle! We went with the 12ft because we have tall ceilings and I love the way a big tree fills in the room. They have plenty of size choices though. I also splurged and got the cashmere one as I had read it makes fluffing the tree easier on your hands and makes the tree a little more realistic looking. Both of these statements are true. I LOVE my tree! It doesn’t look plasticy (is that a word? lol) like a lot of the new ones either. It took all of 10 minutes to assemble and take down again.
