Most Rv’s come with a lead acid battery for the house battery, Lead acid is the tried and true and does the job but they are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to charging up fast on solar or any other source and for keeping their charge over long periods of time. Everyone knows the best are lithium batteries but I am not at the point where I wanted to spend $600 – $800 on a battery. So where is the middle ground?? For me, it was a 12 Volt 125Ah AGM Battery. One of the main reasons was the fact that AGM batteries charge five times faster than a standard lead acid battery. I have been using this battery and it works great! It really does charge five times faster, which is a big deal for me when I am boondocking.
