This summer we tried Amazon Photos because we have a ton of photos! In fact, after uploading I can give you a number, 46K pictures. They were stored mostly on iPhoto and then on all our iPhones. Kari and I’s current phone is the Apple iPhone 8 (in my opinion this is the best iPhone for the price right now). The thought of loosing them is not something we want to deal with so I would, about once a year, get the phones put all the photos in iphoto then backup iphoto. This is not a bad way but my backups are local and I did not want to pay for a service to back them up online. This is where Amazon Photos came in. Why? Because we have Amazon Prime and it is included. Thats right, it’s free to upload 46,000 photos to their servers. And it has a free iPhone app that will auto upload photos as soon as you take them. I will say photos are free you can only upload 5GB of video for free but we save our videos somewhere else so it works great for us. Plus, Amazon Photos reminds you every-once in a while what you were doing years ago which is very nice. Like facebook time-hop but with photos you did not upload to facebook.
